Meghan is so incredibly skilled at creating an environment in her Yin classes that is welcoming, challenging, and completely renewing. Time spent learning from her is an oasis - a beautiful and almost magical reprieve that shifts the way you see and move through the world. Meghan is always incredibly prepared and professional, and is a fountain of wisdom and knowledge. I'm so grateful that she shares her talents with us.

Your Yin class on Thursday evenings has quickly become a critical part of my weekly routine. I love the energy and space you have created for slowing down in my life that I didn’t even know was missing. My power practice is stronger because of your class and I love that I always walk away learning something new. I appreciated that you spoke about pranayama tonight and really brought that life giving force into each posture and moment. If you haven’t been to this class yet, it is a definite must in my book and would be happy to be your accountability buddy to getting there

You changed my life, Meghan! I’ve been doing yoga for over a decade, but you completely changed the way I looked at it and practiced.

I recently attended Meghan's class on neck and shoulders, and it was amazing! Over the last few months, I have had so much pain in my neck and shoulder areas from carrying two babies around, hunching over my computer, and workouts that cause extra strain to those areas. So much so, that in yoga classes, I had begun skipping the vinyasas altogether, opting for cat-cows instead.
Meghan's wisdom of the body is vast and I was able to fully trust the guidance she gave in each posture. She moved slowly and opened not only those two areas, but moved us through engaging the supporting muscles, and I felt stronger through my upper body than I have in a long time. I do not exaggerate when I say that I walked out of that class feeling instantly better. I would do it over and over again!

For the past year, I have attended Meghan’s weekly vinyasa class at Yoga Sol. Most recently, this included her 8 Limbs of Yoga series. Meghan’s training as a yoga therapist significantly enhanced her ability to set the tone for the course with wisdom, intention and grace. Delving into the ancient teachings of the 8 Limbs was beautifully balanced under her guidance. Every class offered a unique insight into this knowledge through the combination of movement, breath, meditations and learning. Meghan’s attentive cues allowed me to experience new connections between my mind and body. By the end of the eight weeks, I was able to integrate many of these experiences into my daily lifestyle choices. For me, this series was about reawakening my intuition and refocusing on my greater purpose.

As a guy who has done Yoga exactly zero times, I was intimidated at first, but Meghan’s partner yoga class was extremely welcoming. I highly recommend this class for couples, as Meghan did a great job of catering to all skill levels. If your significant other is into yoga, and you aren’t, partner yoga is a great way to try it for the first time.

I have taken a lot of yoga classes and I realize it is MY practice. If I am really tuning into MY practice, the teacher is a guide and I can learn from every teacher. With that said, there is just something special about Meghan. She is a master of technique and cares about her students' individual needs. She knows her craft and she is passionate and loving in her approach, meeting you where you are. She understands the importance of sequencing and how each pose builds upon the next. I can’t get enough of her classes; they push you to be your best, inside and out.

Meghan has an ability to shape her sessions according to participants’ individual skills. During the class, each student gets her specific attention, when it comes to correcting a pose or realigning a posture. Meghan weaves in philosophical readings and ancient poetry into her classes, as well as the practice of mudras – symbolic hand gestures associated with energy and healing. Meghan’s yoga sessions are rejuvenating and meaningful, and I look forward to each of them.

I have attended quite a few of Meghan's yoga classes in the past year, but this was my first Chakra Flow class (held at Urban Om). It was amazing! Meghan is such a great teacher. She reads the class and adjusts where necessary. The class went through all of the chakras along with specific opening poses for each one. She went into detail about what each chakra represented and I found it so helpful to associate it with the pose. If you have the opportunity to go to any of Meghan's classes GO!

I have attended several of Meghan Foley’s yoga classes, and am continuously inspired by her passion for yoga. She is highly knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of her students. In particular, she has been especially helpful in teaching me how to modify certain poses that are sometimes difficult due to a past injury to my arm. I also enjoy her incorporation of different mudras to complement the theme or pace of whatever class she is teaching. I have learned more from Meghan than any other yoga teacher and always look forward to her classes.

My favorite Group Fitness Class is… Yoga Express with Meghan Foley, Tuesdays at 11 at the WAC Downtown.
Because… in yoga, the instructor is everything. Meghan Foley knows what she’s doing. This 45-minute class is a perfect length to break from work, and Meghan fills it with sequences that build on each other to close with a challenging pose before savasana. I get warmed up enough in this class to feel rejuvenated for the day, but not so much that I need to shower before getting back to my desk. I only wish this class was offered every day of the week.

Before taking Meghan's yoga class, I had only done yoga a few times. My previous experiences with yoga weren't memorable and I was uninterested in continuing. Once trying out one of Meghan's classes, I was intrigued by how involved and passionate she was about what she was teaching. That alone made me want to come back. I attended one of her partner yoga workshops and I can truly say that I would do yoga all the time if every yoga class was like that!

Meghan's Partner Yoga workshop was a wonderful experience I got to share with my sister. As Yogi's we are always looking to try new things and challenge our bodies both mentally and physically. We learned new and creative poses that Meghan guided us through, and she made everything accessible with different variations and alignment cues. It's amazing the connection you feel as you work together to go deeper in a pose and really let go and trust one another. We were grateful for Meghan sharing her passion and inspiring us to try new things.
